 1. Who is N.A.M.E.?

The National Association of Mobile Entertainers (N.A.M.E.) is the largest Association for WORKING entertainment professionals in the US. We provide entertainers with real benefits that help save money and expand business. Since the N.A.M.E.’s member base is made up of all types of entertainers (DJs, Bands, Hypnotists, Magicians, Event planners, Photographers, Booking Agents) we have the largest and strongest internal referral network in the country.

When you join N.A.M.E., your voice becomes part of a strong lobby to further advance the industry. The cumulative size of the association enables N.A.M.E. to negotiate many benefits on behalf of the membership.

The benefits include not only the ability to save money on items such as insurance, equipment, music and business services but they extend way beyond just monetary savings programs. Association benefits include access to use marketing materials that provide you with additional credibility, new sales tools, web listing and promotion, nationwide networking, important relevant industry news and programs, plus much more.

2. How do I become a member and sign up online?

In business for nearly 20 years, N.A.M.E. has never increased our membership dues. You must be a member to gain access to our group insurance policy. Signing up online is easy and fast.

3. How do I renew my membership?
→ Existing members/ renewals:

1. Click here to go to the Join/Renew page
2. Choose your entertainer type and click "add to cart"
3. Then click "view cart"
4. You will then proceed to checkout and be prompted to login to your existing account with your email address and password. If you forget your password, can easily reset it before checking out.

4. How do I get my new member number? How soon will I get it?

After completing your purchase online, you will receive two separate email confirmations:

Email #1 will be your order confirmation
Email #2 will arrive within 24 business hours from a N.A.M.E. staff member
it will include your NEW member number issued by our staff
and the link to the Brown & Brown insurance website where you will apply for/renew your insurance

You must have your new member number in order to apply for/renew your insurance.

 6. What member benefits and discounts do you offer?

We offer many membership benefits and discounts, including discounted equipment and liability insurance, as well as discounts on DJ software, music, tradeshows, and more. Please visit the benefits page for a full listing. New benefits are being added all the time and if you don’t see a benefit you would like, let us know.

 7. Do I need to be a member to enroll in the insurance benefit?

Yes, you must be an active member of N.A.M.E National Association of Mobile Entertainers to access any of our benefits including our exclusive discounted Liability and Equipment insurance benefits. To become a member click here.

8. How soon can I be insured?

Turnaround processing time is 24 – 48 hours after payments has been accepted.

9. Do I get a listing on the N.A.M.E. website?

Yes! N.A.M.E. members receive an exclusive member only listing on NameEntertainers.com. You can login to NameEntertainers.com to manipulate your listing. If you signed up online your email serves as your username and the password you signed up with remains your password. If you did not sign up online your member number, (listed on N.A.M.E. Certificate and Membership card) serves as your password. You can change this any time. Please allow 24 – 48 hours for online listings to post to the website.

 10. What forms of payments do you accept?

All major credit cards, including debit cards, as well as Paypal and eCheck. Checks should be made payable to: N.A.M.E. and mailed to: P.O. Box 144, Willow Grove, PA 19090

 11. Can bands or other entertainers join N.A.M.E.?

N.A.M.E. prides itself on being able to offer the most diverse set of benefits to a variety of mobile entertainers.

12. What is an EPE (Endorsed Professional Entertainer)?

N.A.M.E.’s Accreditation Program has received an overwhelmingly positive response. This program is an essential building block to taking your business to the next level. The “Endorsed Professional Entertainer” (EPE) stamp is the equivalent of a “good Housekeeping seal of approval” and sets those who attain it apart from the rest of the industry.

N.A.M.E. launched this program as part of an outgrowth of the mission statement to continually build the credibility of the DJ profession in the eyes of the public. Increased credibility carries many benefits the least of which is the ability to attain higher rates per performance. Call today at 844-334-7877 to have the EPE Kit mailed or emailed to you.

13. How do you compare to your competition?

The National Association of Mobile Entertainers is the largest Association for WORKING entertainment professionals in the US. Our benefit package, insurance coverage and premium pricing are second to none.

14. What is your privacy policy?

The National Association of Mobile Entertainers (N.A.M.E.) respects your privacy and only collects the necessary information required for your online user account in accordance with your N.A.M.E. membership. This includes your name, company name, address, phone number, email address, and entertainer type. When creating an account and purchasing a membership, you will also get a free member listing on our Find Entertainers page where users can search for entertainers by city, state, or zip code. This member listing includes your name, address, and phone number. Your information will never be shared with or sold to a third party.

Secure Payments: When you purchase your membership online, your billing information is always secure. Your credit card payments are processed using trusted payment gateway, Authorize.net, a subsidiary of CyberSource Corporation. Your eCheck payments are also processed via Authorize.net. When checking out via Paypal, your payment is processed using Paypal’s secure checkout services.
